The William P. Newman Gymnasium the home to Husson's men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball programs was completed in 1968 and named in honor of former Husson Trustee and prominet Maine Banker, William P. Newman, is one of the original structures built on campus when Husson moved to 1 college circle in 1968.
The Gym seats approximately 1,200 spectators. In addition to being used for all-campus events, the gymnasium has hosted several North Atlantic Conference, Maine Athletic Conference, Sunrise Conference, Northeast Collegiate Conference, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament basketball games.
